NKE AUSTRIA concluded the year 2005 with huge successes: a sales growth of 25.6%, a strengthened team, doubled production and warehouse areas, expansion to nine new markets such as India and Chile, and an extended product range.
Sales growth by 25.6%
In 2005 NKE AUSTRIA achieved a year-on-year sales growth of 25.6%. “While the sales from existing customers increased significantly, our consistent development of new markets has also contributed the remarkable growth. India, Chile, Estonia and Ukraine are examples of the nine new markets we developed in 2005,” explained Heimo Ebner, NKE’s Managing Director. In fact, the annual sales growth has never been lower than 20% since the company’s establishment.
Strengthened team
To cope with the rapid growth, NKE has been constantly strengthening its team. In 2005, 15 new employees were recruited for the Steyr headquarters, in engineering, sales, production and special projects. Doubled production facilities
The second phase extension of the Steyr site was completed in September 2005. With the newly constructed 1,600-square-metre hall, NKE’s production capacity has been further enhanced, especially in cylindrical roller bearings. Currently the Steyr site consists of 4,600 square metres of building area, including 3,200 square metres for production and warehouse. Extended product offer
NKE has also been expanding its product range. In the past year, many product ranges were expanded and introduced as stock items – e.g. deep groove ball bearings with brass cages, electrically insulated bearings, four-point contact ball bearings, IKOS, support rollers, and cylindrical roller bearings. For special applications, NKE also developed and manufactured numerous non-standard bearings for customers in various industries, such as agricultural machinery, heavy machinery, steel mills, gear boxes, pumps, electrical motors and railways.
