. Janet Mo

NKE AUSTRIA was awarded the industry prize Pegasus on 16 June. The bearing manufacturer won the gold prize in the category “companies with 50 to 249 employees”. The Pegasus is the most influential industry prize in Upper Austria; it is awarded to the best companies in the province every year.

NKE’s managing directors, Heimo Ebner and Harald Zerobin, received the prize in the course of the business gala evening in the Bruckner Haus in Linz. Heimo Ebner revealed the secret of the company’s success: “dedicated employees, excellent products and a little bit of luck!”

According to the organiser, the daily newspaper Oberösterreichische Nachrichten (OÖN), more than 300 companies had applied for this year’s industry prize and were judged by a jury of prominent business representatives.

At its Steyr base in Austria, bearing specialist NKE employs 180 people, offering both standard and special bearings for all industrial applications. In addition to product development and application engineering NKE provides a full range of technical services and training. NKE’s products are distributed through 15 international representative offices and more than 240 distribution outlets in 60 countries.
