NKE Wälzlager-Vertriebsges.m.b.H. has been officially approved to change the company name to “NKE AUSTRIA GmbH”.

NKE held two customised Bearing College sessions in the UK, tailor-made for an NKE partner Anstee & Ware and an OEM customer UK Coal Mining. These sessions took place in Avonmouth and Doncaster respectively.

NKE recently invested in a new 3D CAD programme, SolidWorks, to further increase the efficiency in product design and development. The new software will replace the previous 2D programmes.

The special NKE Bearings College held in Havana o­n 20 to 24 September 2004 attracted 30 participants from all over Cuba. This successful event was jointly organised by NKE AUSTRIA and its distributor BDC International S.A.

NKE Bearings successfully passed the yearly monitoring audit for ISO 9001:2000 certification. This again demonstrated the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction as well as continuously improving its quality systems.

NKE Bearings published the third edition of General Catalogue for rolling element bearings. This 1,300-page catalogue has been updated with the latest technical information, especially for angular contact ball bearings and spherical roller bearings.

NKE Bearings held its second International Distributor Conference o­n May 20 to 23. About 100 participants from 21 countries all over the world attended the four-day event which took place at the Hilton Danube Hotel in the Austrian capital city, Vienna.
