NKE AUSTRIA appoints authorised signatories

NKE AUSTRIA GmbH appointed two authorised signatories (Prokuristen) for the company. Dipl.-Ing. Gunnar Simm is currently Head of Engineering, and Mag. Thomas Witzler, M.Sc. is Head of Human Resources for the Steyr-based bearing manufacturer.

The new signatories have also been authorised to represent the NKE management. The company’s two managing directors, Heimo Ebner and Harald Zerobin, are looking forward to working more closely with Gunnar Simm and Thomas Witzler. “The commercial power of attorney (Prokura) will expand their spheres of responsibility, and their organisational options correspondingly, and will entail close cooperation with the management board”, said Heimo Ebner. 

Gunnar Simm originally studied aerospace engineering. For more than 20 years, he was responsible for application engineering and distribution to a wide range of industrial sectors all over the world for bearing manufacturers INA in Herzogenaurach and FAG in Schweinfurt, now Schaeffler. Before joining NKE, in the capacity of managing director he established ILJIN GmbH as a manufacturer of wind turbine bearings. Gunnar Simm has served as head of engineering at NKE since April 2010, and is responsible for the application engineering aspects of customer consulting and product development. In addition, he is currently acting Head of Supply Chain Management, which includes Procurement and Logistics.

Thomas Witzler studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Subsequently, he completed an advanced training programme lasting several months at the Harvard Business School. As a sales manager for Hewlett-Packard, he was responsible for Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe. His professional career has also included a period as managing partner of an IT enterprise. Since February 2009, Thomas Witzler has been in charge of human resources management at NKE, with particular emphasis on recruiting as well as staff and organisational development. 

NKE employs a staff of 200 at its headquarters in Steyr. NKE produces standard and special bearings for all industrial applications. In addition to product development and application engineering NKE provides a full range of technical services and training. NKE’s products are distributed through 18 international representative offices and more than 240 distribution outlets in 60 countries.
