Bildungspark Gleink offers training for young people and adults under one roof

After the Gleink Education Park had already started operations in autumn last year, it was officially opened on 13 March.

The training centre is an investment by the NKE AUSTRIA GmbH group of companies and covers about 2,000 square metres. For young people, the ABZ apprenticeship workshop offers training in 22 metal trades. Training and further education measures in adult education are also offered by NKE Bildungs- und Service GmbH.

With the newly founded NKE Bildungs- und Service GmbH, the group of companies around the Steyr-based bearing manufacturer NKE AUSTRIA GmbH sets a new standard in long-term human resources development. In the field of adult education, the company offers numerous courses and training programmes for professional and personal training and further education.

The goal for the ABZ training workshop is to train 50 apprentices per year. The target group for the apprentices to be trained are apprentices from interested companies in the region as well as the junior staff for NKE AUSTRIA.

About 150 people were present at the opening ceremony, among them Mayor of Steyr Ing. David Forstenlechner; Member of the Provincial Parliament and Mayor of Wolfern, Franz Schillhuber; Mag. Othmar Friedl, Managing Director Vocational Training Institute Upper Austria; DI Christoph Zelenka, Managing Director ABZ Braunau and Steyr and Mag. Dietmar Hoffmann MPM, Deputy Head AMS Steyr.

KE Bildungs- und Service GmbH, setzt die Unternehmensgruppe um den Steyrer Wälzlagerhersteller NKE AUSTRIA GmbH einen neuen Standard in der langfristigen Personalentwicklung. Im Bereich Erwachsenenbildung bietet die Firma zahlreiche Kurse und Lehrgänge für die berufliche und persönliche Aus- und Weiterbildung an.

Das Ziel für die ABZ-Lehrwerstätte ist, 50 Lehrlinge pro Jahr auszubilden. Zielgruppe für die auszubildenden Lehrlinge sind sowohl Lehrlinge von interessierten Betrieben aus der Region, als auch die Nachwuchskräfte für NKE AUSTRIA.

Rund 150 waren anwesend bei der Eröffnungsfeier, darunter Steyrer Bürgermeister Ing. David Forstenlechner; Landtagsabgeordneter und Bürgermesiter von Wolfern, Franz Schillhuber; Mag. Othmar Friedl, Geschäftsführer Berufsförderungsinstitut Oberösterreich; DI Christoph Zelenka, Geschäftsführer ABZ Braunau und Steyr und Mag. Dietmar Hoffmann MPM, Stellvertretender Leiter AMS Steyr.
