NKE AUSTRIA GmbH has a new Human Resources Manager: As of February 2009, Thomas Witzler, MSc, is responsible for human resources management with a focus on personnel and organisational development as well as recruiting.
NKE AUSTRIA reported another outstanding year: Sales hit 43.3 million euro in 2008, up 87 percent over the previous year. The main areas of growth were wind energy, gearbox and agricultural machinery sectors.
NKE AUSTRIA has won an award in the “Women’s Advancement Initiative” in Austria. The competition was initialised by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour. A prize of 10,000 euro was offered to each of ten companies who have submitted the best plans and measures to facilitate the advancement of women in the workplace.

Bearing specialist NKE Austria introduces a new generation of solid brass bearing cages with an improved design. With their reduced mass, the new cages cut the rolling bearings’ energy absorption and prevent sliding friction.

NKE AUSTRIA supplies large-size bearings for a Central American ore dressing plant. When replacements were needed for the plant’s existing special bearings, NKE developed thrust ball bearings with a higher mechanical rigidity and static load capacity, reduced material load and simpler installation than their predecessors.
NKE Bearings will participate in the leading trade fair Motion, Drive & Automation, which takes place from 16th to 20th April 2007 in Hanover, Germany. ÖBB’s Taurus high - performance locomotive runs with NKE hybrid bearings

NKE AUSTRIA held its third International Distributor Conference on 25th to 28th May 2006 in Athens. 120 participants from 27 countries all over the world attended the event.
