Huge success at Hannover Industrial Fair

NKE AUSTRIA closed its show at the Motion Drive & Automation in Hannover with a huge success. With a focus on “Systems and Applications”, the NKE stand attracted a record number of visitors from 45 countries, including one third of the company’s existing customers.

At the Stand in Hall 22, NKE presented some remarkable applications for customers in different industries. For example:

  • Pumps – Modular bearing arrangements developed for Weir Pumps UK save production and maintenance costs.
  • Railways – Special and standard bearing solutions for traction motors and gear boxes developed for Bombardier Transportation UK reduce/eliminate bearing breakdowns.
  • Agricultural machinery – A special double-row angular contact ball bearing developed for Lemken Germany improves bearing life expectancy and offers better protection against contamination.

“This is NKE’s third time at the Hannover Fair, and so far the most successful one. It has significantly enhanced our image as a premium-class bearing manufacturer with strong technical competence,” said Harald Zerobin, NKE’s Joint Managing Director. “We have in fact won numerous projects against bigger players, thanks to our technical support, customer proximity and prompt reaction.”

Despite the difficult economic situation and sluggish bearing market in Europe, NKE has been growing enormously. In the first quarter 2005, NKE’s sales increased 30 per cent versus same period 2004. “We are growing in the existing markets and expanding into new markets. Hannover Fair is one of the major marketing tools to achieve our ambitious goals,” added Zerobin.

Among the visitors at NKE stand, more than one third came from Germany, which is one of the biggest bearing markets of the world. Besides Germany, NKE currently exports to more than 50 countries.
