NKE strengthens management team

NKE AUSTRIA GmbH strengthens the areas of procurement logistics, quality and environmental management and project management with three new executives.

As of 1 September 2007, Gabriele Neumayr takes over as Head of Procurement Logistics, Thomas Schwarz as Head of Quality and Environmental Management and Veronika Schleicher as Head of Project Management. With the appointment of the new managers, NKE continues to upgrade its competence.

In the new position as Head of Procurement Logistics, Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Gabriele Neumayr is responsible for the procurement process. Gabriele Neumayr has been with NKE since September 2005 and worked for two years as an innovation assistant with a focus on procurement optimisation. She was responsible for coordinating the ERP implementation and the process reorganisation in the course of the ERP project. Gabriele Neumayr studied production and management at the Steyr University of Applied Sciences. 

Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Thomas Schwarz takes over as head of quality and environmental management. His responsibilities include quality management in purchasing, production and assembly, expansion and optimisation of the quality management system, auditing and the planned introduction of a CAQ system. Thomas Schwarz has been with the company since February 2007. He studied production and management at the Steyr University of Applied Sciences and worked in quality management at Bosch AG for two and a half years.

Mag. (FH) Veronika Schleicher takes over as head of project management. This area was created due to the above-average growth of the company. In her new position, Veronika Schleicher is responsible for the organisation and cross-divisional implementation of projects in the overall interest of the company. Veronika Schleicher studied journalism and communication sciences in Vienna and e-business at the Steyr University of Applied Sciences.

The expansion of procurement logistics, quality management and project management and the appointment of the new executives are a continuation of NKE's intensive investment in these areas, both in terms of equipment and personnel. Since the company was founded in 1996, NKE has grown continuously. On average, turnover has increased by 29 per cent per year. NKE employs around 120 people, including nine apprentices. To keep up with the growth, NKE has already hired 30 new employees this year.
