NKE holds second International Distributor Conference

NKE Bearings held its second International Distributor Conference o­n May 20 to 23. About 100 participants from 21 countries all over the world attended the four-day event which took place at the Hilton Danube Hotel in the Austrian capital city, Vienna.

On the main conference day, key people from NKE updated distributors and partners o­n the company’s latest developments, shared interesting success stories, as well as discussed the future vision with the audience. Besides, there were individual meetings and information exchange sessions.

“Business has been growing tremendously. Turnover increased 20 percent in 2003 over 2002. In the first four months this year, the growth was even 30 percent over 2003 !” said NKE Joint Managing Director Heimo Ebner. We have also made significant investments in building extension, equipment and human resources.”

NKE Sales Manager Rudolf Pirklbauer presented interesting and inspiring success stories of NKE and its distributors. Cases varied from projects such as the stage construction of the Milanese Scala Opera House, production equipment for BMW plant, applications for steel mills, parts for Austrian Railway, to stories of how distributors profited by changing their stock composition

Joint Managing Director Harald Zerobin closed the day with a vision for the future. “In the next ten years, we expect to triple our turnover, attain zero defect and double net profit margin. To achieve these goals, we will expand our stock range, geographical coverage and customer base. We will also invest heavily in human resources, production, warehouse and quality systems. Product development and marketing support will be further strengthened,” elaborated Zerobin.

The guests were entertained with a dinner at a traditional Viennese wine tavern. They were also invited to take a cruise o­n the River Danube.

Initial feedback from the participants was extremely positive. “We will definitely explore more business opportunities with NKE,” was a statement made by several attendants.
