Get started at NKE AUSTRIA - More opportunities with apprenticeship!

. Janet Mo

This year again, 4 apprentices are starting their vocational training at NKE AUSTRIA GmbH. The bearing manufacturer from Steyr thus has an apprentice quota of 10% measured against the 200 employees of the company and attaches great importance to high-quality professional training in the company.

With one industrial clerk and three production technicians, four young people are again starting not only their training at NKE AUSTRIA, but also their professional careers. "Due to the positive experiences and the good training during my apprenticeship, I am also planning my further professional future at NKE," says Carola Diensthuber, who successfully completed her apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at NKE AUSTRIA.

The company not only offers a motivating work environment, but also benefits that are especially interesting for apprentices: For example, there is a meal subsidy for lunch in the company bistro, a monetary bonus for non-smokers and a supportive English course in the second year of the apprenticeship. Likewise, bonuses are paid out for a distinction in vocational school and for success in apprentice competitions. If you are successful in the apprenticeship workshop, you get leisure time vouchers for your good performance. In addition, the company sponsors the Berufsreifeprüfung after the apprenticeship training.

In order to introduce the apprentices to their tasks in the best possible way, there are already nine apprentice trainers at NKE AUSTRIA, and eight more are currently completing their training. Here, not only the pedagogical aspects are emphasised, but social competence also plays an important role. "Witnessing the development of a young person over the course of their apprenticeship and supporting them with advice and support is a great thing not only for the apprentice, but also for us trainers. We not only learn about human skills, but also know that we are laying a foundation stone in the life of a young person with our work," says Daniela Moser, who is already supervising her second apprentice at NKE AUSTRIA.
