Thomas Witzler graduated in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. He spent seven years at Hewlett-Packard, for the last years as sales manager for Austria, Switzerland and eastern Europe. From 1999 to the end of 2008 he was active as executive partner of an enterprise in the IT sector and lectured at both the University of Economics and Business Administration and the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna.
About his new role Thomas Witzler comments: “Our aim is to prepare the company for the next growth spurt despite the adverse current economic situation. Our focus will be on apprenticeships, talent management and an active role in cooperation projects with other companies. Other measures we want to put into practice are actively practising NKE’s corporate culture and creating a climate that facilitates and encourages learning.”
At its Steyr base in Austria, bearing specialist NKE employs 180 people, offering both standard and special bearings for all industrial applications. In addition to product development and application engineering NKE provides a full range of technical services and training. NKE’s products are distributed through 15 international representative offices and more than 240 distribution outlets in 60 countries.
